Bristol 'stands ready' to welcome Ukrainian refugees

A week after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, as half a million people have left the country according to UNHCR, RAMP Principal and Bristol Mayor, Marvin Rees, announces that Bristol ‘stands ready’ to welcome Ukrainians fleeing war and seeking sanctuary in the UK. This support from Bristol Mayor and local MPs is reported in a local paper, amid increased criticism of the UK national government keeping stringent visa restrictions towards Ukrainian nationals.
